Life Is About the Little Things

Toss a tiny pebble in a calm mirror-like lake on a beautiful summer’s day and watch what happens. That tiny pebble that you just tossed a short distance landed in the calm picturesque lake without much of a splash and barely made a sound. Most likely, nobody notice this apparently insignificant event except for you. However, you did see it and you patiently paid attention to see what happened next. A slight ring formed where that tiny pebble disappeared into the water.

Next, you observed a slightly bigger ring that traveled outward to an even bigger ring, and so forth, and so forth. Each new ring grew in size and power as each ring expanded its reach into bigger rings that were further reaching than the previous one. Eventually these rings gained enough significance to reach the far shore. What a miracle, you thought to yourself. All of this came from such a small pebble and such a small splash that most did not notice…

You see, little things do matter. Appreciate the little things in your life one at a time and you’ll surely appreciate the grand life that you are slowly designing for yourself, regardless of whether you know it or not.
