We love Dr.Jeff Longley. We followed him when he left his old practice. He truly cares💗
I am not a client of this VCA clinic but a different one. I had kind of an emergency while on a visit here. My dog is on prescription food. Unfortunately the dog of the family I visited got into my dogs food. So I needed more food. I called and just ask for a bag of food and explained if my dog doesn’t get this food she will have liquid blood and mucus diarrhea. I also told this vet office that my vet would give them the prescription for it. They absolutely didn’t want anything to do with helping me. Suggested Petco or Petsmart which they should know they only do prescription food online and I needed it today. I would have assumed if you in the business of helping dogs you would have cared enough to help my dog with just selling a small bag of that food. Pretty disappointed that a vetenarian rather cares about a internal policy then helping a dog not to be in pain for a week.
Have recently brought our 15-year-old chug here a couple of times for a checkup as she started showing signs of dementia and had lost a bunch of weight. Twice they told us she seemed fine and healthy. We knew something was wrong. We were told to feed her more. That’s it. Then something happened last Friday and she took a big turn for the worse. We took her to an animal emergency care facility that night (great place and service) and they seemed very surprised by what we were being told by VCA. They also eluded to the fact that they were not fans of VCA from what they’d seen and heard from people with experiences there. Our little Angel had to be put down that Sunday. We will never be going back to any VCA facility.
VCA has proven to give top notch care for my pets and continues to provide a fast an easy experience every time we go. I would highly recommend VCA and the emergency hospital next door for any of your pets' needs!
We took our girl to VCA for 9 months. We went in multiple times as she had a leg injury and we were told she pulled a muscle or tore her ACL etc. They never once listened to our concerns that it could be something else. No X-rays no blood tests we were just told to wait and it will get better. Prior to taking her to the emergency vet last week we called to try and get her in because something was very wrong. The “medical team” did not think it was necessary to bring her in and she could wait until Monday. Well we took her to the emergency vet and she had broken her leg. Looking at x rays she would have to have it amputated no matter what and whatever was happening in her body was grim and had made her bones brittle and weak. Hours later we had to put her down. I understand that our dogs prognosis may have not changed but to be dismissed and treated as if we were just over reacting is very sad and frustrating. I will never bring another animal here and I suggest you do not. Our only regret was not taking her somewhere else sooner.
