recommend Jim Smith Jim Smith made selling my mom's townhouse easier task for my mom and I. He is very knowledgeable about the market as well as experience. I would recommend Jim Smith if you are selling your home.
The only impression I have of Jim Smith is that he is a difficult to work with agent with poor memory and lower than average management skills. Our purchase of a condo with cash should have been very simple, but he forgot several important dates and very poorly represented the seller. When I finally met him in person for the walk-through he did not greet me, my wife or our agent. He just got out of his Tesla, headed to the unit and muttered (just loud enough to hear); "let's go". He seemed very displeased in general. Not a chatty one myself, I let it go. But being rude to my wife is unacceptable. Jim moved the closing date multiple times due strictly to his own confusion and seeming lack of interest to research anything before taking action. The most confusing closing date change he made was done without the sellers being consulted. Based on how many complications Jim Smith introduced to the transaction and due to lack of interest in our purchase, I got the impression he was a new agent. Imagine my surprise when I read that he may own a brokerage. Hopefully his poor business practice does not set the tone for whatever employees he may have. Who am I? I am 58 and have bought/sold over 7 detached residential properties right here in Denver over the last 20 years. My business model is fix and hold. I have worked with numerous agents. I do not consider myself inexperienced in residential real estate. Now that this condo purchase has finalized, I am being told to get the remaining items promised earlier, by Jim, from the HOA. It appears that once his commission clears out, so does his desire to keep his word.
Jim was always available He answered the phone at all times. His knowledge of the housing market is extensive. I greatly enjoyed his columns in the Denver Post on Thursday. Jim helped with staging the house and did an open house which attracted several potential buyers. The house sold in just a couple of weeks, which is fast considering it was cohousing, a smaller market. The new owners were thrilled at the ease of the whole process. I highly recommend Jim Smith for any of your real estate needs, or even just questions.
Superior Service! Our house hunting adventure came with many ups and downs. Out-bid by multiple offers, looking at houses remotely and trying to get a sense of what we really wanted in a home and neighborhood, Jim was there to walk us through the process every step of the way. Between his willingness to take and upload videos of each house and his ability to connect with other agents to get the "inside scoop" of the homes and the specific buying process, Jim gave us the information we needed to make the right buy for us. As the process evolved, Jim was instrumental in connecting us with a great lender, an outstanding inspector and made suggestions on other people to speak to regarding our specific needs. Extremely knowledgeable about real estate, the Denver market and surrounding neighborhoods, Jim will be our realtor, whether buying or selling, period.
I haven't been here or worked with their agents...But I really enjoy Jim's real estate blog! Thanks for sharing your experience and opinions.
