Really nice restaurant on the mall. Server told us that the deep dish pies took about 45 minutes, but we weren't in any hurry, so we ordered a half and half pizza with the Classic Chicago on one side, and the Meat and More Meat on the other.
We enjoyed the music of Nora Jones and like type artists while we also enjoyed our drinks, and the pizza arrived about 45 minutes like the server said.
The Classic Chicago was pretty good, but the Meat and More Meat was stellar! It's not anything like a "Meat Lovers" from other chains - its a selection of well seasoned meats and the flavor combination is unlike anything I've had before. Just outstanding! And the crust is amazing! The nice thing is that the edge crust is very thin so your toppings are wall to wall and your not eating mostly crust on the edges.
We ordered a large pie, and it was perfect for the four of us.
The price for the deep dish is up there. To be honest, it probably is a bit overpriced, but everywhere is like that now. Our server was fantastic so with a 28% tip, our meal was $105 and change.

One of my harder reviews to write, first the waitress we had who was also covering the bar was excellent. You need to know they added âsurchargesâ to the bill that I didnât see until after we left that are not disclosed, mentioned or pointed out when they give you the bill. We had the deep dish pizza meat version. The menu says they donât let you make changes if we read it right (no substitutions it said so we didnât try. It also not sure if we really had any better ideas based on what toppings they had). The deep dish pizza was very average and didnât rise to a 4 star in anyway. The pizza sauce was uninspired in every way. The crust was not something any pizza lover could enjoy. The pizza overall was editable but was only a deep dish in theme not practice. Very thin layers of meat, maybe thatâs the style in Denver but certainly not the style in any other deep dish place I have been to. I really wanted to be more inspired about the food itself, but just canât because that crust and pizza sauce ruins it. I could forgive the sparse toppings, but not if you can get these other two things right. Additional issue was a foul sewer smell which lingered our whole meal time. It might just be a temp condition as they are doing some road work (picture included but there is no real indication of replaced sewer or open sewer. The patio as a result would be a difficult decision. Not sure one should blame that on them but the fact is itâs there needed to be pointed out and hopefully itâs only temp as I didnât see any other reviews mention it. If this place fixed that pizza sauce at least it would make a material difference. One can live without perfect crust but the sauce really does need to be excellent. Itâs all workable issues and I wish them the best if the decide then want to try something. And who knows, maybe tonightâs pizza sauce was because they ran out and west to the Safeway and made a substitution.

The food was amazing! Loved the way the salads were perfectly mixed and tossed with the dressing. Deep dish pizza-yum! The mid-size was WELL enough to share between 2 so we got couple of different ones for the table -plenty of food with a box. Note: Deep dish does take longer to cook than regular pizza.
We came right at dinner rush, server struggled to keep drinks refilled or check in on table- but he was super busy.

A little deep dish pizza goes a long way. So rich and filling. I enjoyed starting off with a Greek salad. Although not pictured, we enjoyed Giordano's thin crust pizza more than the Chicago style deep dish. The deep dish cheese is so stringy it gags me.
