My 2020 Review:
We came to Animal Care Center of Castle Pines After Murphy was diagnosed with a lung tumor. We did not want to put him through chemotherapy as the two drugs that were recommended have horrible side effects. Murphy was given 1-3 months to live. We wanted him to have the highest quality of life for the time remaining. Our hope was to stay ahead of the decline curve and to try and keep him comfortable for as long as possible. Although it was a difficult pill to swallow, we were prepared to lose him.
On our first visit, we met with Dr. Gibson and shared our expectations. We had already shared Murphy’s records to make her aware of his situation. A diet change from kibbles to raw was highly recommended. Murphy was prescribed some Chinese herbs, essential oils, turmeric powder (an antinflammitory), and immune system support powders. Only two very affordable medications were prescribed.
We had a lengthy discussion about the use of the Sanawave machine. I was already a little familiar with the machine. It's a pulsed electromagnetic field device that uses hyperthermia to treat cancer. We also decided to give Murphy a few injections of iron nanoparticles to make the SanaWave therapy more effective. There are very few machines in use in the US. We felt very fortunate that one of them was in use at Animal Care Center of Castle Pines. The Sanawave does the following:
1) strips away the protein layer on tumors
2) energizes the immune system by helping cells create heat shock proteins (HSP)
3) organizes water in the body to remove dead cancer cells
4) reduces inflammation
This is truly an amazing machine. We have been going for treatments since the end of February, 2020. After each six weeks of treatment, a cancer panel was run to check the progress of the treatments (a baseline test was run after our first visit). After the six weeks of treatments, the cancer panel showed a drop in the cancer marker and a huge drop in inflammation. We have seen a continued drop in the cancer index with six week period of the Sanawave treatments. As of July 24, 2020, Murphy is considered cancer free! No one has ever done this before, so we feel very fortunate to have Murphy under Dr. Gibson’s care.
At this point, we feel Murphy is out of the woods so to speak and that we can shift to a maintenance mode. Murphy will need to be treated for life. The hope is to have one to two treatments per month.
Dr. Gibson has been an absolute delight to work with. She has a cheerful disposition and is very compassionate. She is one of the brightest and most amazing vets that we have worked with. We’ve done a lot of testing on Murphy and each time we ask questions, she has answers and explains them in a way that is easily understood.
2023 Update:
My boy is living a vibrant life thanks to the wonderful care from Dr. Gibson and the staff at ACC. Three years on and Murphy is doing exceptionally well, especially for a 17 year old! I am so grateful to Dr. Gibson and all of the staff at ACC.
These folks work tirelessly to provide the needed care to our best friends. When I think about all that I have been through with Murphy, I get tears in my eyes.
Thank you Dr. Gibson and all of the amazing staff at ACC. You all are truly a blessing

I recently had the privilege of experiencing the outstanding care provided by Dr. Hebert and her team at the Animal Care Center of Castle Pines, and I cannot sing their praises loudly enough. This review comes after an emergency visit with my fearful and aggressive dog, an experience that turned out to be one of the best veterinary visits we've ever had.
My dog, who has always been aggressive at the vet, needed ER care after being attacked by another dog. This was a highly stressful situation for both my pet and me, but from the moment we walked into the Animal Care Center of Castle Pines, I felt reassured by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Hebert and her team's dedication to the well-being of animals was palpable.
What truly sets this veterinary clinic apart is their commitment to using Fear Free methods. It was clear that the team has gone above and beyond to create an environment where animals can feel safe and comfortable. My usually fearful and aggressive dog was quickly put at ease by the gentle and compassionate approach of Dr. Hebert and her technician.
In the midst of a stressful emergency, the team at Animal Care Center not only provided exceptional medical care but also displayed a level of empathy and understanding that truly made a difference in our experience. I am immensely grateful to them for turning what could have been a traumatic event into an opportunity for my dog to build trust and confidence.
If you're in need of veterinary care in the Castle Pines area, I wholeheartedly recommend the Animal Care Center of Castle Pines, especially if you have a fearful or anxious pet. The team of professionals here prioritize the well-being and comfort of their patients above all else. Thank you, Dr. Hebert, for your outstanding care and for making a difficult situation a positive one for me and my pup!

All of the staff were friendly and efficient. Jazz (the dog) loved the vet tech and the doctor. Both explained in detail what they doing and the doctor provided several options for care. We could not have been more pleased.

My dog Leo had chronic ear infections in both ears and Dr Gibson’s treatment plan resolved them in about three months. Now working on skin allergies. I like her traditional and holistic approach. She’s the third vet we’ve seen in three years. I guess third time is a charm!
